Gastritis is inflammation of the inner lining of the stomach. It manifests in three forms –
- Acute Gastritis – severe inflammation occurs suddenly.
- Chronic Gastritis – inflammation takes place over a long period of time.
- Erosive gastritis – is a form of rare gastritis. Bleeding and ulcers may occur in the stomach lining though there isn’t much inflammation involved.
