If the bottle is opened, better to empty it within 1 – 2 months.
If it is a sealed air tight container, then its expiry date extends upto 6 months to 1 year from the date of manufacture.
Because it contains salt, which absorbs moisture, its shelf life is quite less.

Could you give the rasa/guna/virya/vipaka and the effect on agni? Is Bhaskarlavana for people with manda-agni gastritis, or tikshna-agni gastritis?

      Rasa – Lavana (salt taste).
Guna – Ushna, Teekshna (hot, piercing).
Vipaka – Katu Vipaka – pungent taste conversion after digestion.
      Veerya – Ushna
It is more useful in Mandagni gastritis. In Teekshna agni gastritis, usually Tikta Pachaka like Guduchi, Nimba etc are used.

Homeopathy, Ayurveda both are very good. Because of your grandma’s age, it is very difficult to advice online. Please consult a local doctor.
